    Today is Dwarfism Awareness Day! Brody was born with a rare form of dwarfism called diastrophic dysplasia. It affects 1 in every 500,000 kids and mom and I are genetic carriers of the gene. Holly likely is too even though we are all average height. It commonly comes with club

    I am SO PROUD of this kid. He got out of his comfort zone. He tried something new. He was willing to be a beginner at something others have done. He pushed his previously conceived limits. He found out he’s capable of more than he thought. He’s a winner for that alone. #Capable

    Rejoicing! Surgery was a success. A perfect success. I’m so happy. We’ve been dreading this for a while as there is a risk of paralysis any time you’re dealing with the spine, especially in a kid as complicated as Brody. Check out the before and after pics. Incredible!!!
