15 year Srishti who was mocked and laughed at by a teacher and 50 kids for wanting to become a lawyer, just bought herself a new laptop, about 10 years later. I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t bawl my eyes out, with happy tears for a change, after getting it home. ⚫️🧿

Really don't believe in celebrity bashing, but why is Suhana Khan is on the cover of Vogue? Technically this isn't even celebrity bashing, because she's not one, her father is. My dad is an accountant, will ICAI put me on their monthly magazine cover?

Yesterday my boss asked an intern for her account details so that they could transfer her stipend to her, and the sheer confusion on her face, its so sad, that interns in law get stumped when offered a stipend.

Mom never spent money on herself esp clothes. When I started earning, I’d purposely buy her size allegedly for myself but say I made a mistake and give it to her and now the highlight of my day is Ma reporting to me at the end of each day on how people complimented her clothes.❤️

In case no one said it to you yet, Goodnight! Congratulations on making it through the day! Your setbacks don't define you, they're just testament to your courage and unnerving spirit.

Just told off a lawyer who thought it was alright to call me at 10pm to check about availability of my senior… in another time, in another place, I may have a succumbed and entertained them, but I’m slowly realising the importance of my time and respect for boundaries.

A lawyers coat pocket is the most wondrous place, you might find pens, sticky notes, cause lists folded several times over, an ID card, phone, half eaten breakfast, nuclear codes. Who knows

Sorry for the unpopular opinion: but a lot of lawyers will very rarely on board interns that don’t come from a recommendation, no matter the merit of the candidate. These recommendations are very difficult to get as a first gen lawyer. (1/4)
Pl tell these students that landing an internship with that one SC Senior Advocate who takes 90 interns at once & makes them dance at the end of their internship, isn't worth their time Saw a post by someone bragging about bagging that internship in their 1st year & offering tips
