Aerospace engineer. I'm one of thousands of people who help send people into space.
My opinions are my own and do not reflect the official stance of NASA.
I disagree because I had some jerk in high school tell me the same thing (he knew I really wanted to work there, probably same case for her). Spoiler: I also work at NASA now.
It isn't how the spacex suit looks that bothers me, but that it feels like lots of corners were cut to make it cheap/look cool. Like it uses air cooling instead of water. Everyone else stopped using air cooling in the 1960s after it almost killed people from heat exhaustion
The new NASA FY2026 budget request is abysmally bad. Gutting Artemis, huge cut to ISS, huge cut to science, huge cut to the NASA workforce and many other things. It's embarrassing that NASA published this graphic with it, so I fixed it.
This is how you lose your space program.
Although real talk, NASA gets more highly qualified applicants than it has positions for (so no need for added recruiting) and that's frustrating lol. Please increase NASA funding. It's abysmally small compared to the rest of the government
Are you aware that his employer doesn't give a shit what he does on social media on his personal account? In the real world you can't just cry to your mommy every time you dislike what someone is saying.
Electricity actually improved civilization. Generative AI slop is making civilization worse. It's very mediocre and is decreasing the quality of media, while also being often used for misinformation.
