This is literally a problem for me.
My grandmother has a 40+yr old 200+lb Sulcatta that she got as a gift for my mother when she was a kid and now that I'm moving to a larger property and my grandmother is getting old guess who's problem Spike has become.
He will outlive me too.

- I still believe this scene from Dragon wars (2007) is the greatest scene to ever grace the cinematic experience.
00:00 - Honestly I feel like Gareth Edwards wanted to use the Rancor so bad but it just didn't logically work in Rouge One so when he was handed the script for JW Rebirth he just went "I have the option to do the funniest thing right now"Jurassic World Rebirth (2025)
GIF - Replying to @BWalkerTTAGGGBold if you to assume the tortoise will not also be using the biotechnology of the 2040's
- Oh to be an Amazon River Dolphin gently harassing a large Black Caiman in a beautiful blackwater river.
00:00 - Replying to @SouthApeOkay so a few of you have been questioning why I view this as such a problem so here's an old thread I made breaking down why Sulcatta are living bulldozing menaces. However despite all of this I promise I love Spike and he's been family longer than me.I have a sneaking suspicion that Sulcatta Tortoises are about to be seen by a much wider audience, and so it's a good time to share my story and thoughts around them. For context, I've been around reptiles my entire life and professionally for over 10 years in the industry.
- POV I'm a newly hatched Torosaurus excited to grow up and make a difference in the world.
- It's crazy how I know that Gabon Viper teeth both fangs and regular teeth are massive yet completely hidden even when the mouth is stretched fully open.
00:00 - A jet propulsed ariel predator was absolutely peak spec evo creature design, and we don't talk enough about it.
- Too often when people talk about convergent evolution are they using boring vague examples like bats and birds having wings and not wacky shit like two snakes looking nearly identical while in two separate genera on opposite sides of the world sharing the same habits and hunting-
- Listen, the naming of the new species of anaconda is definitely incredible, but more people need to talk about the absolute behemoth of and Anaconda they managed to film. I'm fairly certain that one that size has not been seen in many years.
00:00 - Someone on one of the Emu Facebook pages I'm on hatched two naked emus. Hard to say if it's purely genetic or an incubating issue but what I can tell you is it's fucking funny looking. Thankfully, they were taken in by a rescue and will be well cared for, so I feel fine laughing.
