Thanks for the comments. Even after 30+ years the old place can still generate new emotions. I was angry (maybe too much) at the Jerome decision. Players and coaches should not pressurise officials like that, but officials should not give in. That anger was released on 97 mins.
So…
August - Watford v M’boro - Rob Edwards v Chris Wilder.
December - M’boro v Luton - Michael Carrick v Rob Edwards.
April - Luton v Watford - Rob Edwards v Chris Wilder.
Welcome to the Championship.
Captaincy isn’t just about the winning. It’s facing the cameras and microphones after a 7-nil defeat, overcoming serious injuries, or sharing your pain after the loss of a loved one. Climbing those Wembley steps to collect another trophy would be a fitting finale.
30 years after commentating on @LutonTown departing the top flight at Notts C, tomorrow is the chance to move a step closer to returning. Highs and lows since 1992, but one constant. A full and noisy Kenny is hard to beat. Digital radio from midday @BBCSport3CR
Honoured to have been involved today, and across the whole weekend. Proud to be part of the 3CR team. In the words of John Still: “The stronger the team, the stronger the team”.
Just parked up round the corner, and thinking about the month ahead at KR. When I started in the press box these games were the norm. Over time they seemed a million miles away. Now it’s Arsenal, City, Newcastle and Chelsea. Never say never. Live it, breathe it, soak it in.
