- This is the season in which @charliedeutsch2 has looked a class act. Tremendous at Doncaster today. As much a horseman as a jockey, doesn’t overuse the whip and rides longer than many so not much bumping about (unlike too many others.)

- Surely Brighterdaysahead, Lossiemouth and Golden Ace should all be running in the Champion Hurdle. The Mares Hurdle is small potatoes by comparison - and should have a ratings ceiling.
- There are 33 entries for the Irish Grand National and not one of them is trained in Britain.
- Ombudsman will have a pacemaker on Saturday called Devil’s Advocate. This horse is not intended to win. Where are the warnings to punters @BHAHorseracing @RacingPost ? And why is it allowed?

- Why too has racing been so compliant in facilitating and supporting ludicrously disproportionate measures to protect a tiny percentage of problem gamblers at possibly disastrous cost to the industry?
