- Today I announced that the Government has made the first steps to stop blanket speed limit reductions across NZ.
- The Ute Tax has officially ended. Great news for our farmers and tradies!
- A huge privilege to have been asked to be a Minister in Christopher Luxonโs Cabinet. Iโm looking forward to my new roles as Minister for Transport, Local Govt, Energy and Auckland. Letโs get our country back on track!
- Today I confirmed that the Coalition Govt will repeal Labourโs divisive Three Waters legislation early in the new year.
- Today I announced that the Government has scrapped Auckland Light Rail as part of our 100-day plan. Over $228 million has been wasted on Auckland Light Rail with nothing to show for it. Weโre focused on building the infrastructure that Auckland needs.
- Chris Hipkins is dodging accountability by refusing to front the independent Royal Commission into the response to COVID-19, and Kiwis deserve better. ๐งต
- My expectation is that Health NZ should focus on its core job of providing timely, quality healthcare for all, not distracting itself by advocating against fast food outlets, or telling councils they should ban community groups from fundraising with raffle tickets. ๐งต
- Classic Green Party. Campaigning to take car parks away from struggling businesses in order to put cycleways in, but then secretly wanting a car park spot for themselves! You canโt make this up.
- #BREAKING The Coalition Govt has just passed legislation to axe Labourโs regressive and fiscally irresponsible Ute Tax on 31 December 2023.
- Fantastic result across NZ for the centre right. Kiwis are sick and tired of being told what to do by left wing politicians who think they know best. Kiwis voted for common sense centre right policies in 2022 and will do the same in 2023! Itโs time for change!
- Promises made โ promises kept! Pakuranga Roadโs speed limit has been reversed to 60kph!
- It makes no sense to make a shift worker travelling to work at four oโclock in the morning crawl along our streets at 30km/h. New Zealanders expect a sensible approach to speed limits on our roads, and thatโs what our Government is delivering.
- Labours new Minister of Auckland Michael Wood: ๐ด Wasted $51m on the Akld Harbour cycle bridge that got cancelled. ๐ด Has spent over $70m on Akld Light Rail which has gone nowhere. ๐ด Wants to reduce speed limits on all suburban streets to 30kph.
