    Had a fun back and forth with Mike McDaniel at the press conference today. If 11 year old me back in the early 1980’s with his ear pressed to Armed Forces Radio trying to listen to NFL games had had been told this sort of thing would have happened I’d never have believed it true.

    Nine years ago, Rafa Benitez as Newcastle manager texted me - instead of their youth team manager of the same name - (Rafa had done some work at 5 live Sport), asking me to bring a young keeper called Freddie Woodman back off loan. Today, Woodman signed for us.

    8 months & 9 days after having Covid I’m spending my Sunday night waiting for a brain scan, an after effect of daily Long Covid headaches. Young, healthy, & no underlying health issues, don’t let anyone tell you this virus isn’t tragic, serious or a threat.
