Hey @cvspharmacy my CANCER patient went to fill her pain medication prescription and the pharmacist refused to fill if bc she felt uncomfortable and then KEPT the prescription so she got readmitted to the hospital in severe pain. This is unacceptable!!!

- Cancer patients who have cancer and are pregnant will now not be able to have an abortion in many states so they can start chemotherapy and save their own life. Think about that. #WomensRightsAreHumanRights #IDissent #SaveOurLives #SaveOurRights
- My cancer patients can’t get their imaging scans with contrast bc of this shortage. Tell me again how covid19 is over and it’s not impacting every aspect of how we are delivering healthcare?
- I am here to tell you, if you are indoors and not at home, you should be wearing a good mask, ideally N95 or KN94. #COVID19 numbers are rising fast, new variants are highly contagious, and more and more #LongCovid
- I have spent the last 3 days trying to get chemo approved for a patient, and this whole time my patient is not getting treatment as his cancer progresses. An insurance company has decided they know better than the patients oncologist what chemotherapy regimen they should be on.
- Told a peer to peer reviewer this week that if they refuse my patients standard of care imaging, I would need their full name so I could include it in the chart for why care was being denied to protect myself in case I was sued...Imaging approved #FixThePriorAuth
- So we have: - Waning immunity as we get further away from booster doses - BA.2 variant more transmissible - Risk mitigations being removed (e.g. masking) - Kids <5 still not vaxxed - Federal funding running out for #COVID19 response initiatives - Surges in other nations ...so...
- .@CDCDirector @CDCgov the hands off approach to #COVID19 isn't working.I know more ppl infected now than I have this entire pandemic...at what pt do u admit we need to reinstate indoor masking/risk mitigations? Pretending this isn't happening isn't working for most of the country
- So for those of you waiting for the @CDCgov @CDCDirector to tell you to start masking again, they likely won't anytime soon. Things are too political. But I'm here to tell you #COVID19 numbers are going up, wear a mask (ideally N95 or KN94 indoors) and test before gatherings.
- Just your daily reminder that people without medical degrees or background should NOT be in charge of creating MEDICAL policies, laws related to MEDICINE or MEDICAL CARE. There is a reason you go to a surgeon for your operation, an oncologist for your cancer and not a politician.
- Between the AHA stating HCW don’t need to put on protective gear before starting CPR and the CDC saying HCW can go back to work 5 days after a (+) #covid19 test we are a long way from the 7pm applause for frontline workers part of this pandemic. Feels like our lives don’t matter.
- Just throwing this out there...I've been wearing N95 masks almost daily for the last 2+ yrs, and as needed for patient care prior to the pandemic. My nose hasn't been cut, I can breathe fine, and I've been able to protect myself from things like #COVID19 (and TB pre-pandemic)
- I feel like a lot of studies are coming out w results that say: this intervention was proven not to work when ppl didn’t do it correctly. And ppl are interpreting that to mean: the intervention didn’t work. To be clear. Masks work if you actually wear them over your nose & mouth
