Your amazing support raised £3,711 for our period poverty fundraiser, enabling us to visit 12 orphanages in Kenya & distribute 500+ hygiene packs. We also provided a hot meal on distribution day. Your kindness has changed lives, bringing hope and dignity. May Allah bless you all!
I’m raising funds to combat period poverty for an orphanage in Kenya and make a difference in the lives of those who need it. Your support can make a huge impact! Please consider sharing and donating to our cause. Every little bit helps. Thank you! ❤️ gofund.me/b0e455fa

This statement brings me back to this video I came across by Dr Gabor Mate explaining why this isn’t the case.

My parents who are in Saudi, both telling me that between every adhaan & iqaamah they’re making dua’a for me. Every sujood, every salaah, whilst fasting, during umrah, the last hour of ‘asr on Friday, they’re consistently mentioning my name to Allah. I feel so blessed الحمد لله🥺

On Eid day I met two Mauritanian sisters at Masjid Al Haram, we prayed together, spoke & exchanged numbers. Yesterday we met again at the masjid & they gifted me oud perfumes, shoes, handbag & I’m SO embarrassed because I thought we were just doing a simple coffee meet 😩🫢😔😢

Only in Saudi can I put my phone in the charger in public, leave my phone go to the toilet, then go grab a drink and come back and my phone is still there.

In Saudi if someone doesn’t know you and you’re a woman they automatically refer to you as “Fatima” and if you’re an older woman you’re “Umm Mohamed” I always forget this so every time someone calls me Fatima, I’m also looking around for Fatima until I realise they mean me 😭.

Ya Allah, do not let Ramadan pass like a wind. Purify us, change us for the better, forgive us for our sins, and bring us closer to You.

Please don’t look towards others on what “prepared for ramadan” looks like. You don’t need Ramadan decorations. You don’t need a ramadan journal. You don’t need these things to be considered 'prepared'. The intention & sincerity in wanting to change in our hearts is all we need.
