    One of our civilian employees, driving an unmarked county car was run off the road by a suspect who thought she was an ICE agent. Let me be clear, anyone who tries to harm another or LE officer with a vehicle will be arrested and prosecuted. I wanted to clear up our prior post.

    Today I had the extreme pleasure of welcoming back Deputy Carlos Velasco, after being ambushed in San Bernardino on August 17. Deputy Velasco’s speedy recovery, courage, and eagerness to return to work is an example of his dedication to the communities he serves. Welcome home!

    Justin Wayne Halstenberg, 34 year-old resident of Norco, was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for P.C. 451 - Arson for intentionally igniting the Line Fire. He is being held with no bail. Thank you to the joint efforts of SBCSD Detective Jacob

    Our department is aware of the protests occurring in Los Angeles County in reference to the ICE Enforcement Operations. A private correctional facility contracted to the federal government, located in our county may be utilized during these operations to house ICE detainees.

    The California Public Safety Committee just failed to move AB 1955 giving law enforcement the tools to address drug dealers pushing fentanyl. The Public Safety Committee is failing all of us. In 2021, we had 106 fentanyl overdose investigations. 97 of those died including 4 kids!
