Today is the anniversary of the death of Shireen Abu Akleh, murdered by Israeli forces in Jenin refugee camp three years ag. She was a dedicated and beloved journalist. Shireen’s assassination was a message to all Palestinian journalists: they are also targets of deadly violence.

i am in tears i was scrolling through instagram and it loaded a random video... who do i see but my cousin Saeed playing guitar and singing with these beautiful palestinian babies 😭 couple of my cousins in the back too... i have no words i did not expect to see them like this 😭

Like a lot of other people here in Palestine, we’ve not attended any events over the last year. We went to a concert today in Bethlehem. The children and young adults were so talented and the parents and instructors were so proud. There is so much beauty & love in Palestine.
