A butterflyπ¦flapped its wings & caught my attention. The serious people I like so much are showing up there & seriousness is accompanied by niceness. Expect more of my attention to go to the nice place & much less here.
It made me angry--you got it to the floor of Parliament (I signed your petition) & the Tories in particular treated hunger in the UK as a joke. Literally, I think. Am I correct in recalling that some MPs laughed during the debate?
This is how #COVID#BA2 began with a friend's entire household. Seemed to be a belly bug w vomiting & diarrhea. Then tests came in positive & symptoms transitioned. One member of household has been struggling to breathe for 3 days since the transition.
How did you manage to especially fret about the rise in diabetes up to age 40 without even once mentioning it is well documented that #COVID can cause diabetes? It's impossible to properly look at the diabetes rise without taking that into account.
You have correctly surmised that most people talking about SARS2 evolving don't understand the theory of viral evolution (which HIV neatly supports). They pretty much have it backwards. Rampant lets it get worse. Mitigations push toward milder.
My wife finds wearing a respirator maddening & we won't go into an enclosed Petri dish like a movie theatre without respirators. It's expensive so we only went once or twice a year before, but no movie is worth ruining or shortening our lives. So we quit going to movies.
I don't see how we can get to herd immunity from infection with a virus that damages the immune system in ways that make re-infection easier. It's foolish to ignore damage to T-cells.
Moving to another country is hard to do & the one you choose can change. I moved to the UK. Climate change models show this as one of the better places for longest. But then the Tories came to power. It is now affectionately known as Plague Island.
Could you possibly come up with a more dangerous policy? At the least, you *must* allow people who wear a face mask to go through their ID check outside with excellent ventilation, for their safety & that of polling station workers (who are often in a high risk age bracket).
Many people with #LongCOVID will hide it if they can. Anyone with an 'invisible disability' or chronic illness will tell you that letting people at work know about it often turns out badly. I know at least 5 with #LC without even thinking hard.
