Oh man…hook it to my veins. What an anthem and what a way to play it…if the GAA can take something out of this for the big days it’s this….the only way to play Amhrán na Bhfiann is with the pipe band and that drum rattle at the start and let the crowd sing away 👍🏻🇮🇪

A quick TJ appreciation tweet... Scores 1-14. 1-2 from play...a given for him now. 4 pts came from his hooks/blocks/turnovers. Won 3 of the frees he scored. He catches balls when needed most & always looks for player in the best position. Movement. The complete Player. The GOAT

When the final whistle for me is blown, And I stand at last before God’s judgement throne, May the great referee when he calls my name, Say, You hurled like a man, you played the game. Thinking of all in @ClonRossGAA today as they lay their man to rest.

I’m hugely confused Ted....they want all schools to go back as normal...hundreds of people inside in the one building...but now they won’t let 200 people watch a match in a massive outdoors area.....these are small but those ones are far away 🙈
All sporting events to take place behind closed doors, as Government decides not to allow spectators at fixtures rte.ie/news/coronavir…

Croatia’s population is 3.9m. Ireland’s is 5.1m. I often wonder….If there was no GAA would we get to World Cup Semi Finals or finals on a regular basis with those athletes concentrating on rugby or football (soccer) instead of hurling or Gaelic Football 🤔

Thank you Limerick. Thank you Clare. That was truly epic. One of the great Munster Finals. One of the great sporting events anywhere in the world 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Walking in the front door of the Quirke house for Dillon’s funeral and at 92 years of age he walked in behind us. He simply said I just felt I had to be here as he met people.Just sums up the quality of that man. The Greatest to ever do it. RIP Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh 📻🎙️

Let’s talk about the HURLING side of things from the Final: Tipp 3:25...scored 3:16 from play. First 5 shots of 2nd half resulted in 2 goals and 3 points. Won 74% of our puckouts. 28 scores by 12 different scorers.....top performance on the biggest day. Well done Tipp 👍🏻🇺🇦

In what is probably hurling’s greatest season Sunday is Galway’s 9th game. Limerick’s 8th game. Limerick have beaten Tipp, Kilkenny & Cork en route. Galway had 2 replays & had to beat KK twice to get there. Whoever wins they will truly have earned it. #AllIrelandHurlingFinal

Hurling starts this weekend....give it a look Gary 😇

How do we know class is permanent? In 2002 Eoin Kelly scored 2-7 to help win the Dan Breen cup for his club @mullinahonegaa. Today, 18 years later,he scored 2-5 to help them win the Seamus O’Riain County Final. Class act. Before. Now. Forever. ☝️

Tragic news of the passing of Dillon Quirke. The sporting community in Tipp are numb. A brilliant talent who was only getting better & better for club & county. All thoughts & prayers are with his family & friends in @ClonRossGAA. The bed of heaven to Dillon.

Brendan Maher scored a point with a broken Hurley that most lsds wouldn’t score with their best Hurley on a summers day with the wind at training!!!! Well done @Borris_GAA.....the dream continues....Paddy The Cock is going to Croker!!!! 👍🏻🇱🇻

GAA Stadiums of Ireland 🇮🇪....I am pleading with you to get the pipe bands back for the playing of Amhrán na bhFiann before championship matches & stop with these terrible PA versions.Nothing sets the tone like the rattle of those drums and the sounds of those pipes @officialgaa
