If you're a VC, and you're "pulling" or renegotiating a signed term sheet with a startup because market conditions are bad, then you never understood your job in the first place. The horizon is 5-10 years - not 5 months - and you should never have bet on a bubble as your exit.

The problem with venture capital generally, and individual #VC personalities specifically, can be summed up in one word: asymmetry. VCs exercise their power in rejecting founders every day, but in many - most? - cases they have no real qualifications to be judging founders.
