It has taken me a very long time to process the horrific shooting at MSU. As a Spartan, I am saddened. As a mother, I am broken. As a State Senator, I am determined to make our public spaces safer so no one has to experience this type of violence.

It took me a second to process my emotions over my excitement to see a highly qualified Black woman be considered for the US Supreme Court. Black woman! Keep striving, enduring and succeeding in the work place. You have value!

I introduced SB 75 to ban the Confederate flag from our Capitol. If lawmakers want to have an honest discussion about healing after the January 6th insurrection, then this is a great way to start Black history month. @MIGOP

Why hasn't Trump's FBI and DOJ flooded the states of AZ, MI, PA or GA to investigate these "compelling" claims. Maybe because there is NO validity to these claims. Conspiracy theories and allegations won't change the outcome.

As a black women whose grandparents grew up in a segregated America, I find it interesting that the Trumpers are crying about harassment during an election. Imagine what my grandparents went through when they cast their vote."

It would be a Progressive Tough on Crime AG to call 2 Black women criminals for taking a principled stand on behalf Black people.
