    The Senate just passed a bill to expand Opportunity Scholarships. Every Democrat but one voted no. The same people who claim to care about "equity" don't want low-income kids to attend private schools reserved for the wealthy. We should fund students, not systems. #ncpol

    Thank you @realDonaldTrump for swiftly approving North Carolina’s emergency declaration ahead of #HurricaneIsaias making landfall. North Carolina will now be able to utilize federal resources to supplement our state and local efforts.

    Law-abiding North Carolinians shouldn’t have to ask the government for permission to exercise their Second Amendment rights. Gov. Stein thinks otherwise and vetoed our Constitutional Carry bill. That is unacceptable and the Senate Republicans will swiftly override this veto.
