    The Republican Party is enabling white supremacy in our country.  As a lifelong Republican, it pains me to say this, but it’s the truth. I of course am not suggesting that all Republicans are white supremacists nor am I saying that the average Republican is even racist.

    I am under no obligation to conform to a brand of Republicanism whose central tenet appears to be blind obedience to a charismatic leader. I will side with the constitution. Let all reasonable Republicans unite. Let’s take our party back from these charlatans.

    Republicans: WHAT is the holdup? Trump is now flaunting impeachable offenses in front of CAMERAS. Are you just going to stand there and say nothing? Are you ok with your legacy being “was submissive to Donald Trump?” Good Lord. Grow a spine and regain some self respect.

    We have Republican senators and representatives who look the other way and say nothing for fear that it will negatively affect their elections. No more. When the history books are written, I refuse to be someone who said nothing.

    We have a Republican president who continually stokes racist fears in his base.  He calls certain countries “sh*tholes,” tells women of color to “go back” to where they came from and lies more than he tells the truth.

    In light of my recent comments, the Nebraska Republican Party issued a statement. Did they join me in identifying and condemning obvious racism and duplicity inside of our party? Sadly no. They instead encouraged me to leave the party. My response: No

    Wow! Thank you all for following. This is quite unexpected….. To my Republican friends, I hope you know I wish our party no ill will. I’m not trying to “harm” us. I’m trying reclaim what our party CAN be.
