    I was denied communion last night by the Catholic bishop here in Las Cruces and based on my political office. My new parish priest has indicated he will do the same after the last was run off. Please pray for church authorities as Catholicism transitions under Pope Francis.

    Having passed key gun safety laws working with her administration, I call on the Governor to rescind her order outlawing arms. An unconstitutional approach undermines the important collaboration gun issues deserve, and the important role of a Governor to lead genuine reforms.

    I learned most of what I know of governing from Bill Richardson. An incredible force, indomitable politician and one of the few true leaders in politics I've been privileged to serve alongside. We will miss him and the work he had left in him.

    To those charging me with gerrymandering - we did the opposite. We created a competitive district rather than a seat assigned one party. This is how we restore Congress to the founders' ideals, and turn back tribal extremists entirely beholden to parties. abqjournal.com/2547600/vasque…

    We're shocked to be hearing today, shock shared with all legislative colleagues, that NM Supreme Court Justices are dealing with juror complaints to serving, because certain law enforcement agencies providing security are refusing to mask themselves. Full investigation coming.

    For 20 years I've worked to erase the chosen boundaries, which historically assigned southern NM to the Republicans in exchange for the north assigned to Democrats. This plan rejects that past thinking, mixes urban and rural areas, and will bring us together as a state.
