- 30 years ago today, Semisonic played its first show (under the name Pleasure) at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis. Thanks to Dan and John’s profile, the show was packed, and to commemorate the occasion, Jake saved a half-eaten roll of Rolaids.

- On this day in 1998, Semisonic released our second album, “Feeling Strangely Fine.” The album cover photo captured the same hope expressed in one of the songs’ lyrics: “It’s strange, but you’re feeling fine.” Happy 25th birthday, “Feeling Strangely Fine”!
- 23 years ago today we released “All About Chemistry,” and we’ll be playing some of the songs at our upcoming shows! Come hear them down in Mexico City this weekend at the Vive Latino Festival or next month at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul on April 6th!
- “Super” was too much, so we went with Semisonic. Follow us for exciting news we’ll share as soon as we figure out how to tone it down. Which isn’t to say we aren’t vain, only that our vanity is conditioned by our Midwestern upbringing.
- So amazed to tell you that the new Semisonic album, “Little Bit of Sun,” will be released on November 3rd! It rocks. We will be sharing more info about the record in the weeks to come.
