It's been an honor to serve as your Secretary of Labor.
I leave @USDOL with a deeper understanding of why working people are the heart and soul of our nation, and a message: never bet against America's workers.
Thank you for everything.
60 million workers say they’d join a union given the chance. I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished in this administration to empower workers and make sure they know their federally protected rights, and I know my colleagues will carry on this important work.
I’m glad to see more employers taking the high road and respecting their workers’ right to organize, because we know labor unions improve wages and working conditions for ALL workers – whether they’re union members or not. And that's good for our economy.
It’s fitting that one of my last official acts as secretary is hearing from employers and unionized workers on the importance of collective bargaining at a @WhiteHouse Task Force on Working Organizing and Empowerment meeting. It's been a privilege serving as vice chair with @VP.
A few toplines from @BLS_gov's February jobs report:

📉 Unemployment rate was 3.6%
☑️ 12.4 million jobs added since @POTUS took office
🏨 105,000 leisure and hospitality jobs created in February
📈 Over the past 3 months, we've added 351,000 jobs/month to the economy on average.
The administration’s investments in infrastructure, manufacturing and clean energy continue to create good jobs. Since @POTUS took office, our economy has added 12.4 million.
Today, @BLS_gov reported the American economy added 311,000 jobs in February, and the unemployment rate was 3.6%.
With 12.4 million jobs added since President Biden took office, steady, stable economic progress continues.
This year, with @POTUS' Inflation Reduction Act going into effect, health insurance and prescription drug costs are lower for millions of families, and clean energy incentives will further lower household costs and create good jobs for years to come.
When @POTUS took office, our economy was in crisis and millions were out of work.
In two years, we've delivered a historic economic recovery and laid the foundation for steady and stable growth in the years to come.
