A stunning Alki Beach sunrise caught by Cicero, one of our facility maintenance laborers, while on his way to work last Friday. Cicero says, "This one right here makes me look forward for other days of work ahead! This made my day and I hope that it'll make all of yours as well."

Seattle's public golf courses are now open for sledding and snow play! Go have some fun at the Jackson Park, Jefferson Park, Interbay and West Seattle courses. (Clearly, they're all closed for golf, including the driving ranges.) ❄️⛄️🛷

Don't be alarmed by the water swamping some of our shore-side parks today: there's a king tide in Puget Sound and it will recede soon. King tides occur when the moon is closest to the sun. Here's a photo from Golden Gardens Park this morning.

After a 20-month closure, saltwater Colman Pool is being readied for summer use starting June 19. Crews made plaster and pool shell repairs, tested a new filtration system, and started filling it up with salt water. A couple of orcas even swam by to see the action!

Do not swim or go in the water at Howell Park, Madrona Beach, or the Lake Washington shoreline between them. This includes street-end parks at E. Olive & E. Pine Streets. There was a sewage spill this morning, and the water could make people or pets sick. green2.kingcounty.gov/swimbeach/

Thank you to @SeattlePD for helping to keep folks from congregating at parks. We can all do our part to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19 by practicing #SocialDistancing. Follow public health guidelines and please DO NOT gather in groups when visiting parks.

A huge shoutout to our maintenance crews who were out in full force today cleaning up trash and firework debris at park sites across our system. 📷 Crews spread out across Gas Works Park to tackle the large amount of trash and the park is looking great now! #SeattleShines

Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Paint Shop Graffiti Team recently cleared graffiti from the columns under I-5 at Colonnade Park. These pictures show just part of the 16,000+ square feet of graffiti abated. #SeattleShines #ParkProud

Public bathrooms! We've all seen them and somehow lived to tell the tale. Parks staff strive to keep our restrooms clean, stocked, and safe, so you don't merely survive. See how nice a job our cleaning crews have been doing lately! #ParksProud #SeattleShines #PublicRestrooms
