    As a surgeon and member of a family torn apart by mass shooting I find this insulting to the highest degree. Surgeons have all been elbow deep in people’s chest/abdomen trying to save victims of guns-this is our lane. Your fear of data, science and the first amendment is shameful

    I’m struggling to understand the demonization of science, education, rational thinking and concern for your fellow human beings in our society. I am not sure how to process this all as it challenges everything I was raised to consider important.

    This week I had the honor of presenting Grand Rounds at @PittSurgery @UPMC . Truly remarkable group and one of the top academic surgical departments in North America.. It was great meeting with and learning from their world renowned faculty
