My friend, who lives in Uptown, just sent me this video of criminal activity in front of his apartment this morning. Oakland is so lawless. Cops are under-resourced and hamstrung by policies that favor criminals.

- People want to enjoy our city, but find it hard to justify eating out when this is the penalty that you face. Happened to my friend yesterday on Piedmont ave. @MayorShengThao, the corrupt, inept mayor has been completely ineffective as a leader.

The mayor’s chief of staff replied to me once with false data and platitudes, but showed no interest in collaborating. Our D4 rep has been open to dialogue, but no action.
