- Out for a walk today. I’ll be doing more walking than biking for the next few weeks as I had a crash on the mountain bike. Broken collarbone and fractured a few ribs. A little sore but getting better every day. Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a safe and successful 2021
- The UCI really need to take a look at and stop allowing more and more dangerous finishes to races. Having a downhill sprint to the line is especially crazy. Rider safety needs to be made the highest priority.
- Second again. Feels like another Tour of Flanders but I guess this one isn’t too bad.The history of cycling goes back to 1869. From then until now @SeanKellyCC is ranked as the second most successful cyclist of all time, second only to Eddy Merckx.
- It might be a rest day for the riders in @lavuelta but for me it’s a training day for the @3CountiesCycle and a chance to catch up on the ironing.
- Glad to be back training again. Currently doing between 30 mins and 2 hours each day on the turbo. Having the bars turned up makes it easier on my collarbone and ribs. The @Indoor_velo screen mount makes it easier for my sanity. You can order one now at indoorvelo.com
- The French always say things come in threes. I hope my Vuelta abandonment record doesn’t follow that rule with two so far to my name. My hotel here in Bath is closing due to lockdown on Thursday night so I might be in trouble with 3 days to go, just like in ‘87.
- Very impressive win for @DanMartin86 today. That was a great fight to the line. Will we get two in a row for Irish riders tomorrow 🤔
- Great job today @Sammmy_Be and great teamwork by @deceuninck_qst I should have gone to the bookies last night
