There are 3 cases of the Indian variant in Russia, 5 in Canada, 16 in France, 36 in Ireland - and 1587 in the UK. That is how murderously poor the UK government decision making is. #whydoscotsputupwithit

Only about 5% of our gas came from Russia. Don't believe the bollocks that prices are high because Russia has gone to war with Ukraine. The price is high because companies are profiteering on the back of the scare story.

I’m a Scot forced to live in England’s world. English TV, English newspapers, English history, English government. This is not a tweet against the wonderful citizens of England; if I was English I'd celebrate my English heritage. I'm Scottish - I want to celebrate that. #YesScots

Too many Scots don't know the things they take for granted, like free prescriptions, free further education, free bus travel at 60, free period products, free parking at hospitals and free eye tests for all - aren't available in England. Don't vote to lose them. #YesScots

As an English person how would you feel if you had to send your taxes up to Scotland every year and wait to see how much you got sent back to manage England? And the amount sent back went down every year. How would you feel? You'd be furious. #YesScots

Hands up if you know that Scots send just shy of 70% of their taxes down to Westminster - to be spend on roads that don't reach here, nuclear weapons we don't want, palaces we dont' live in, a London underground we don't use, and an broadcaster who lies to us. #YesScots

Loch Fyne Seafarms: BREXIT: 60% of market lost; staff cut from 22 to 13. “Our worst fears over BREXIT have become a nightmare”. #YesScots

This popped up from 2021. It's still true.

Do you believe that the arrests of SNP politicians was a political act?
  • user avatar
The haven't arrested Boris Johnson or those who have been filling their pockets with state money - but they arrest Scotland's First Minister. They are taking this too far. I can't tell you how angry I feel right now.

It has become clear that Nicola Sturgeon stood head and shoulder above all other UK leaders during the pandemic. Rightly: it's a fact, less people died in Scotland than in England as perc. of pop. Her resulting popularity and standing is why the UK state set out to destroy her.

Scoltand, how does it feel to be patronised and insulted daily by some of the dimmest politicians that England has ever produced? #YesScots

Are most Scots completely unaware of what is going on? Do they think everything is hunky dory? I can't think of any good reason why support for independence isn't at 100%.

Even if Scotland was the poorest country in the world I'd still want independence. Having MPs from a neighbouring country control Scotland's economy and telling us what we can and can't do - is an embarrassment. It's disempowering and infantilising. #YesScots
