Land Day at #COP16Riyadh opened with a panel on synergies among the Rio Conventions. We agreed that artificial silos often conceal a seminal fact: action on land, biodiversity, climate, water and ocean is part of the same continuum and must be pursued as such. #PeaceWithNature

At #IPBES11 closing I reiterated the importance of @IPBES’ work for the required surge of implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework #KMGBF. I urged @IPBES members to ensure that the 2nd Global Assessment provide a clear picture of progress against the #KMGBF targets.
