- This absolutely not true. The temperature being reported is AIR temperature above ground (over 1 metre+), not the GROUND temperature. Ground temperature will have been even higher in many of those locations, well in excess of 50°.‘People are being manipulated by fear of the summer.' - Mother of all #thunderstorms now over London. Oh boy! This UTTERLY INSANE. I’ve never seen a storm with such frequent lightning in my life I don’t think. Mostly sheet lightning and not too loud but flashes are spectacular.
