Sometimes projects get cancelled.
That is ok.
That is simply a part of working in a creative field.
It is ok to be sad and disappointed when projects end prematurely.
It is NOT ok to be bitter and rude towards the project creators. It’s a sad time for them too.
Dear voice actors,
Sometimes work will be slow. There will a lull in your business and in your projects.
Rather than be dismayed, focus on training, learning, and growing. Take lessons, read books, learn new exercises. Take advantage of the "down" time!
What. The. Heck?
“I don’t like Hooters.”
Cool, don’t go to Hooters.
“Instead, Hooters should accommodate me in A B C ways.”
.... or just don’t go to Hooters, go get a therapist, then go ask someone out?
I was worried for 0.5 seconds... 😂
You can cosplay a character without being insulting.
Don’t. Do. Blackface/insensitive nonsense. How hard is that to understand?
Dear creatives,
Some weeks will just be bad for creativity. Some weeks you can’t get everything that you want done.
Rather than agonize over everything you “should” be doing, take a breath and just get through the week.
Next week is a fresh start. Tomorrow is a new day.
✨
Dear Voice Actors,
It’s ok to just be a working actor.
It’s ok if you’re not announcing huge projects all the time.
Voice acting jobs are not always exciting and sparkly and showy. Sometimes they just pay the bills.
You’re still a voice actor.
Congratulations!

To anyone who wants to be a voice actor,
Get used to really loving your own voice.
Get used to being surprised by your own voice.
Get used to being frustrated with your own voice.
ALL IN THE SAME WEEK!
