Community Update: There has been no significant change in the situation at this time. California Department of Fish and Wildlife is the lead agency for the wildlife response. SMPD remains on scene providing perimeter coverage and supporting public safety efforts in the area.

11:30 am Update: SMPD personnel remain in the area and are maintaining a safe perimeter while coordinating with appropriate wildlife personnel. No injuries have been reported. Residents in the immediate area are asked to remain indoors an keep pets inside.
