Hello! How are you? Hope you’re doing ok. I’ve built a thread to look at Namer, a heavy armoured personnel carrier (APC) that is in service with the IDF. You might have heard of it recently as 11 IDF personnel were reportedly killed in one when an ATGM hit their vehicle.

This is the GÜRZ hybrid air defence system from Aselsan which entered serial production in 2024. It provides mixed air defence capabilities with a 35 mm cannon firing air-bursting munitions as well as land variants of the Gökdoğan and Bozdoğan air-to-air missiles. Target

A little thing on ATGMs based on a past conflict. So, in 2006 the Israeli Defence Forces deployed Merkavas to Lebanon as part of Operation 'Change of Direction'. There, they were subjected to a very high number of ATGM attacks by Hizbullah.
