I think my main question today is why Senator Kelly Loeffler *isn't* being investigated for the same offenses as Senator Burr.

Once again: DO NOT TRACK THE NUMBER OF CASES. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO INCREASE AS TESTING COMES ONLINE. Instead, track the number of deaths per day. If the "doubling time" of these slows to more than 3 days, we're starting to bend the curve. thread:
Bookmark this. When the doubling time of deaths* gets above 3 days, we will have begun to get past the runaway period of the pandemic. Note the current doubling times for China (35 days) & South Korea (12 days). *not cases, which can be underdiagnosed ourworldindata.org/coronavirus#gr…

I am sorry to confirm the passing of my colleague John Conway. An incomparable mathematician, a pleasant neighbor, and an excellent coffee acquaintance. His passing was sudden (fever started only Wednesday morning). Part of coronavirus's hard toll in New Jersey.

I have an idea. Find a large room where the press can come to you! Invite them to attend, then you give a statement. They raise hands and ask questions. If it succeeds, it could be a regular event. I hear there is an unused room *in the White House*:
Stephanie Grisham claims all the Sunday news shows refused to have White House officials on. She adds Fox News also cancelled her upcoming Sunday appearance

"Should a federal employee obey a lawful order, or stay loyal to an individual? Here at @nytpolitics, we can't say. It's just all a partisan game! We're not going to make a value judgment! We have great portrait photographers though."
Hope Hicks, one of the best-known but least visible former members of President Trump’s White House staff, is facing an existential question: whether to comply with a congressional subpoena nyti.ms/2I329XZ

On a call with GOP donors, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler “privately described President @realDonaldTrump as a political burden who despite his false claims of victory was the likely loser of the 2020 election.”

Georgia Republicans are being asked to #BoycottGeorgia. Supporters of Trump lawyers Lin Wood and Sidney Powell say by not voting, "there will be so few [votes] that GOP vote totals will go negative... The fraud will be so obvious, SCOTUS can then invalidate [2020]."

    The NYT currently projects a national popular-vote margin of D+9.2%. The largest popular margin since 2008, larger than waves of 1994, 2006, 2010, 2014. 1994: R+7.1% 2006: D+8.0% 2008: D+10.6% 2010: R+7.2% 2014: R+5.7% By historical standards, this a popular wave.

Actually, no. For example, in 2016 the minimum number of jurisdictions needed to reach Hillary Clinton’s popular majority was 39 states plus DC. But let’s get serious. Let’s review origins, consequences, & flaws of the Electoral College. [here beginneth the thread]
    Replying to @AOC
Your ignorance of history and the importance of the electoral college is appalling. Without the electoral college, the president would only care about satisfying the will of the people in about 15 states. The rest of the states would be totally forgotten.

A 23-seat swing toward Democrats would be enough to flip control of the House. Six swing districts are within 100 miles of New York City. Five are within 50 miles of Los Angeles. Four are within 50 miles of Chicago. Find a place to get involved near you! machlis.com/elections/Cong…

Journalists! To review a little cognitive science: if you lead your story with a false statement, people remember that - even if you debunk it next. Do not lead your story with a false statement. We reviewed the science here: nytimes.com/2008/06/29/opi… pretty please?
Once again, President Trump says parents of Korean War vets asked him to get the remains of American soldiers back. #forreal

Interested in the 2020 Kentucky Senate race, when Mitch McConnell is up? A key event far in advance is who wins the governor's race in just *three weeks*. If Beshear (D) were to unseat Bevin (R), up to 4% of the adult population would regain right to vote. Highly consequential.
