There will be history in Chicago tomorrow.
Either the White Sox will set the all-time loss record (121). Or the Angels will set their single-season franchise loss record (96).
You wouldn't have it any other way.

- A rare double Tungsten in SoCal today. Shohei Ohtani: 1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI, BB (hitter) 4 IP, 1 ER, 0 BB, 8K (pitcher) Dodgers lose at home to STL, 5-3 Mike Trout: 2-for-4, HR, 3 RBI Angels lose at home to TB, 5-4
- This is the exact spot where Shohei Ohtani’s home run hit. Security said it bounced, hit a back wall and went back down.
- Shohei Ohtani homers and his team is down 7-1 in Angel Stadium. It simply writes itself.
- The Angel Stadium fireworks just went off for Eugenio Suarez's second home run of the game. Eugenio Suarez, notably, plays for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
- Here’s a cool bit of info: Shohei Ohtani’s interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, resigned from the Angels over the lockout so he could keep communicating with Ohtani. He’s now hired back with the team since the lockout is over.
- Anthony Rendon, when asked for an injury update: “No habla inglés today.” He then put on a hoodie and left the clubhouse.
- Shohei Ohtani’s locker has been cleared out. There’s a bag that’s packed. The Angels have declined to say tonight why this is happening or what it means.
- Thank you everyone for following along this year. I sincerely appreciate it. And thanks to @LAAngelsPR who probably have the hardest comms job in all of pro sports. They do good work. It was a ridiculous season for everyone, and I enjoyed covering it all.
- Shohei Ohtani: “Obviously this is not all Joe’s fault. Players are, myself, in part to blame, because I was underperforming. I just want to say thank you to Joe, I appreciate for everything he’s done for me.”
