On the 40th anniversary of my parents’ citizenship, I had the honour of delivering my first speech to parliament. #auspol

The long and the short of it is, the Albanese government is just going to be better 😀

I'm disappointed that Fiona Martin is doubling down on her accusations about me. Campaigns are stressful and she made a mistake. I’d just like her to apologise for mistaking me for a different person. The people of Reid deserve better than this.

I want to thank the people of Reid for electing me and trusting me to be your representative in Federal Parliament. I will not let you down. The people of Reid have voted for fairness, for integrity in government and for a better future for all.

Earlier today, the Prime Minister backed the inaccurate claims about me made by his candidate in Reid. That's frustrating and disappointing. I'm going to spend the next 9 days talking to voters about why we desperately need a change of government in this country.

Thanks to my friend @TuLe_2166 for supporting me at prepoll today. Let's win Reid and win government for Labor!

I am the daughter of migrants who came to this country for a better life. They left their homeland of Laos because of the Vietnam War and we are lucky Australia gave us refuge. 1/8

Earlier today in a candidates’ debate, my opponent Fiona Martin accused me of having previously contested preselection in Fowler.   I have never sought to run for Fowler. I live in Reid, my son goes to school in Reid, and I am excited by the opportunity to represent my community.

I've received some messages saying I should not be the Labor candidate because of my Chinese heritage. People are entitled to their views, but I think it’s important I address the points head on because respect and inclusion matter. 1/7

I love this line from @latingle on Insiders: "Compassion is back in fashion."

Running as the Labor candidate for the federal seat of Reid has been the ride of my life. But I couldn't have gotten this far without my husband Rui & son Max. They haven't seen much of me over the past few months but they've been my two biggest cheerleaders. Grateful to them

Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes calls action on climate change a woke agenda. This was my response on @abcnews Afternoon briefing.

Today...was something special. A majority Labor govt, signing the caucus book, being part of Labor's class of 2022 (the most diverse group of incoming parliamentarians) & getting to call people I've admired for so long my colleagues... Today is a day I will never forget.

The moment my mum and dad got a wave from the @AustralianLabor federal caucus during my first speech. Thanks to my wonderful colleagues for making last night even more special for them.
