    The PIAA will be meeting with State Senators on April 24th. It is time for the PIAA to face the problem we have in our state head on and make changes. Fact: only 5 percent of the schools in the state are non boundary schools. That 5 percent wins 60 percent of our state titles.

    After 58 yrs, I’m finally taking the Fall off. The playing & coaching days are over. I loved every minute. I will miss the Friday night rush, but not the grind. Best of luck to the coaches & players who will be kicking off a new season today. Time to enjoy life. Coach Cantafio

    The PIAA has to do something. 6A, 5A,4A Championships are dominated by non boundary schools. Public schools need to start their own championships . Why can’t we have a Play-off system like New Jersey.

    The PIAA All Star Team wins another State Championship. Great effort Harrisburg. St . Joe’s Qb is excellent. The only problem I have is he lives in NJ.

    Cross your fingers. On Mon. April 23 rd. a concerned group of State Senators will meet with the PIAA at the State Capital to discuss PIAA issues. Let’s hope for movement in the right direction. I have been pushing for this meeting to take place for 3 months. Hope for the Best.

    Unimaginable news to hear today about the passing of Dwayne Haskins. He attended many SVS Sports camps & sessions over the years with big goals beginning at a very young age. It was truly a pleasure to work with him & get to know him. Our prayers are with Dwayne & his family. 🙏

    Great meeting today . State Senators and PIAA has a very productive mtg. I was told by the Senators that all coaches must contact their State Reps and tell them you are in support of two divisions for state playoffs. Boundary and Non - Boundary. Do it Now.

    On Thurs Mike Williams and I will have our first of many meetings concerning PA Football playoffs .We will meet with State Senator Scott Martin. Mike and I have over 80 years of coaching experience behind us and we are going to push for change.

    Boundary vs Non Boundary. District 10 Administrators and Coaches Survey. 365 took the survey. 354 agreed that non boundary schools have a competitive advantage . 338 are in favor of separate tournaments . I would love to see all districts in the state take this survey.

    Boundary vs Non Boundary. In 2013,2014,2015 we had 4 classifications in Pa. for Football . Non Boundary Schools won 9 out of 12 State Championships. In 2016,2017 we had 6 classifications . In 6a,5a,4a , Non Boundary Schools won 5 out of 6 State Championships. Time For Change.

    Come on PIAA. Stop using stat numbers from 1972. No Charters and many private schools were not playing football. Take a good look at the past 5 years. We need change.
