CBS Sports will pay all technicians and utilities (including freelancers) who were scheduled to work March Madness. That includes the NCAA Tournament, Final Four, and D-II and D-III National Championship. An A+, stand-up job by CBS Sports.

Friendly reminder that this clip went viral a week ago, and everyone said “that cameraman deserves a raise,” and it was actually shot by a WORKING MOM.

Literally like walking into a time machine. Most of this preserved as it was when first opened in 1910. Insanely cool. #MLBatRickwood

Lots of love for the end zone camera angle in DC. And it’s justified. The shots are gorgeous. According to FOX, it’s actually NOT a traditional “broadcast” camera. Instead, it’s a Sony mirrorless on a handheld gimbal. You can see the op in this clip.

The camera operator framing this up in real time, the director taking it. The people who work on live sports production are incredibly talented.

The oldest stadium in the country doesn’t have camera wells. Not surprising! So six of the @MLBONFOX primary game cameras are built upon platforms on the ROOF of Rickwood Field. That’s also where the broadcast booth is! #MLBatRickwood

Saturday's @NWSL Championship marks the first time the league will appear on a national broadcast network in primetime. Firsts on the show: - a four-point cabled aerial camera - a Steadicam op will be allowed on field pregame and during key stoppages in play (goal celebrations)
Broadcast television camera on a Steadicam rig assembled in a production compound.
Cabled aerial camera hangs over soccer field.

Absolutely love this shot from behind-the-scenes of the Super Bowl Halftime Show. That's Toré Livia operating the Steadicam. He's a killer live camera operator that's been nominated for 31 Emmys and won SEVEN, working on productions like live musicals, award shows. 👏👏
