- Sterling wins the sectional team title over runner-up Dunlap. Kyle Ruiz named sectional coach of the year, he and assistant Jamie Ruiz both jump in pool with their team - & the sectional plaque.
- Newman’s Daniel Kelly fights through a possible broken nose to win the title at 132 pounds.
- I'm at the United center tonight as the Bulls host Isaiah Roby and the San Antonio Spurs. Got a chance to talk to Isaiah courtside before the game, and he said he's thrilled to be back in northern Illinois.
- Sterling wins 4-3 lead on Miguel Gallardo's goal with 8.4 seconds left in OT. They advance to Friday's 2A Belvidere Regional final.
- Newman takes 3rd place in Class 1A, defeating Goreville 65-50. Williams (N) with a double-double in his final game.

- Sterling’s Braeden Ruiz just punched his ticket to state in the 100 breaststroke, clocking a 59.50 for the win. Michael Garland took 3rd in 1:00.87.
- Newman boys defeat South Beloit 57-38, advance to Friday’s 1A Pecatonica Sectional final vs. Scales Mound
