After repairs are completed, Sarasota County will perform testing to ensure the water is safe to drink. Once all samples have been cleared, the precautionary boil water notice will be canceled through an Alert Sarasota notification.

and 410 residences and 24 businesses are affected by this shutdown. When water is restored, all residences and businesses will be on a precautionary boil water notice. An Alert Sarasota notification has been sent regarding the precautionary boil water notice.

Sarasota County Public Utilities is repairing a water main break at Bispham Road and Windward Drive in Sarasota caused by a contractor hitting a water main. Public Utilities staff had to shut down water in this area to isolate the water main and make the repair,
