As we move into our first day helping students and families recover from the tragedy that occurred at CVPA and Collegiate High Schools, we want to acknowledge our collective heartbreak at the loss of 15 year-old student Alexandria Bell and 61 year-old P.E. teacher Jean Kuczka.

- Police are on site at Central Visual and Performing Arts this morning following reports of an active shooter and both CVPA and Collegiate are on lockdown. The shooter was quickly stopped by police inside CVPA. We have reports of 2 students injured and on the way to the hospital.

- It's a big day for SLPS! We now have the TOP TWO HIGH SCHOOLS IN MISSOURI! Metro continues as #1 and moves into the top 100 nationally! (99) Meanwhile Collegiate moves up to #2 in the state. (150 nationally!) Big news for McKinley as well, jumping to #18 in Missouri!
