- Did Juwan Howard’s team just call a timeout up 11 with half a minute to go? Maybe I’m just imagining it.
- Am trying to wrap my Bears brain around what just happened in Green Bay. It appears the Packers ran a play with about 10 seconds left in the half, then called their last timeout and — the craziest part — even squeezed in a field goal before it was too late. What madness is this?
- Tennessee is beating Alabama so soundly, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Vols skyrocket to No. 5 in the next poll, right behind the No. 4 Tide.

- What an awful choice of words by the ESPN Peach Bowl studio host who said LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger will try to “put away the distraction” of losing his daughter-in-law in a plane crash earlier today. A distraction? Football-speak is so damn stupid sometimes.
