- SEC led the nation in non-conference wins versus current CFP Top-25. Set a college football record with 3 different teams ranked No 1 nationally. Eight of 14 teams ranked in Top 10 during the season. Horrendous….The SEC had a horrendous year. You can’t say with a straight face that losing twice in a down year qualifies you for access to the playoff.
- With Missouri’s entry into the CFP Top 25, the SEC becomes the first conference to ever place eight teams in the CFP Poll. Finished the regular season with four teams in the Top 10.
- For the 13th time in the last 14 seasons, the SEC will have a team in the national championship game
- Alabama is one of two teams in the entire nation with FOUR wins over the current CFP Top 25. Washington is the other. The Tide now owns the best win in college football.
- Per @BamaCentral, if Alabama wins the Rose Bowl, Nick Saban will be the first coach to win back-to-back games during the same season against two different No. 1 teams in college football history.
- SEC teams have now won 10 consecutive CFP semifinal games, improving to 10-1 overall.
- With NC State's No. 22 ranking in the coaches poll, @HailStateFB is the only team in the nation with three wins over teams currently ranked in Top 25.
