Officer Camden spotted a couple of our Troopers during lunch today at Pizza Ranch in Tea. The Troopers asked for a photo with Camden, it made their day. The 3 of them want to remind all of you to be safe this Halloween. They’ll be on patrol. #keepSDsafe

As we bring today to a close, let us not forget about the 39 law enforcement officers, this year, who have given the ultimate sacrifice to keep us all safe. In #memory of each of them, this Trooper did 1 pushup for each officer killed in the line of duty. #neverforget #lineofduty

At about this time 32 years, 6 months, and 3 days ago, I prepared my boots 🥾 for my first day on Highway Patrol. This morning I prepare them for retirement. Not my boots, but me. For today I retire. #lastday #retirement

This trooper stopped to make sure this motorist on the side of I-90 was okay. Turns out his tire was flat, so trooper Dale broke out his gloves and got to work. Within a few minutes he had the tire changed and the gentleman back on the road. Just one more way our troopers help…

Police Service Dog - End of Watch With great sadness Police Service Dog Zeke was laid to rest this week due to health issues. He was one of the best dogs we have ever had in our PSD Program. You will be missed Zeke. 🐾🐾

🐾POLICE SERVICE DOG RETIREMENT🐾 PSD Blitz a 12 yr old Belgium Malinois, stationed in the Sioux Falls area retired on 10/29/20. PSD Blitz and his handler Lt Koltz, had a great career pursuing criminals. PSD Blitz will be staying with the Koltz Family. Thanks Blitz!

Make sure to get your license plate validation stickers from your local courthouse. Writing the current year on a previous years sticker with sharpie doesn't work. #keepSDsafe #ExpiredPlates

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Police Service Dog Rocko has been laid to rest due to health issues. PSD Rocko was a great dog, a great member of the SDHP & a great family member. PSD Rocko was nearly 12 years old when he passed. Rocko you will be missed.
