    Caltrans construction crews will close the SB SR-163 connector to SB I-805 Monday to Thursday from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. for roadway excavation and landscape activities. Southbound SR-163 motorists may continue south to eastbound I-8 and connect to I-805.

    Remember to turn on your headlights (and slow down) when it starts to rain. This is how you look to other vehicles when the headlights are turned off.

    Caltrans crews have worked through the night to re-open SR-78, SR-94, and other storm related closures. Teams are still working to clear the rockslide on I-8 between #SanDiego & #imperialvalley

    Watch for obstacles in the road like these rocks that fell on SR-76 just east of E Grade Road. Caltrans crews are out assessing the highway infrastructure for any damage from this morning’s earthquake. #BeAlert #StaySafe

    Did you the know the freeway exit number is the number of miles from the freeway start? This off-ramp on I-5 is 18 miles from the freeway start at the San Ysidro Port of Entry. The 'A' means there is more than one off-ramp within that mile/exit number. #FunFact #DriveSafe

    Caltrans crews on EB I-8 near In-Ko-Pah trying to remove the boulders that are about as big as a school bus. Please be patient as crews are working around the clock to get the freeway open. If you don’t have to travel to Imperial County or Arizona today please delay your trip.

    👏Today while on storm patrol, the I-15 managed lanes crew rescued a dog from the center median at the bottom of the SB I-15 on-ramp from Del Lago Blvd. The dog was scared but the crew worked together to keep the dog calm. The humane society was contacted and retrieved the dog.

    Did you know the freeway exit number is actually the number of miles from the freeway start. This exit is 18 miles from the San Ysidro Border. If there is a letter in the exit, it means there is more than one exit within that mile. You can also see this number on Google Maps.
