    .@itvnews report on my unlawful detention at Gatwick Airport. Exposing human rights violations of the Bahraini regime in Geneva has often come at a personal cost and reprisals against me and my family back in Bahrain. To be detained upon my return to the UK was very distressing

    Prince Andrew’s toxic relationship with abusers extends beyond Epstein. Here he is with Bahrain’s dictator in 2017, the day after my family in Bahrain were detained and threatened to stop us protesting. 4 months earlier the king ratified execution of 3 torture victims.

    I am being held by the UK Border Force at Gatwick Airport upon my return from Geneva. Where I addressed the UN human rights council session to discuss Bahrain’s human rights abuses. They gave me a paper which states that I am “liable to be detained” @UKMissionGeneva

    Over Two hours have now passed since I am being held at Gatwick Airport. No officer from @UKBorder has explained to me why I am being held. To be clear, I’ve lived in the UK since 2012. I went to Geneva on Monday 25 Sept and returned today.

    No words can express this feeling. My mother in law Hajer Mansoor is finally free after 3 years in jail for my activism. Throughout her ordeal, Hajer has held her head high in the face of injustice. An inspiration to me & to many, many people in #Bahrain and beyond. #HajerFree
