It is with the greatest sadness that we share that Mick Stout, our much-loved Director of Music, passed away yesterday morning. He leaves a wonderful musical legacy at St Albans School, and we will be much the poorer for his passing, but all the richer for his time with us.

We hope that pupils will enjoy using our new Computer Science labs from tomorrow! The Headmaster fittingly cut the tape to open the new classrooms. This tape recently went through Colossus, the first-ever computer, at @bletchleypark and was kindly given to the School by @tnmoc.

After 37 years at the School, our wonderful Design & Technology Teacher and Educational Visits Coordinator, Mr Taylor will be retiring. Paul presented him with a picture of one of his cars, Bertie the Bond. A big thank you for everything to Mr Taylor & we wish you all the best!

On the last day of the Autumn Term our staff would usually enjoy a Christmas lunch together. As this couldn't take place this year, the School organised goodie bags for everyone, which included wine or prosecco and chocolates or a non-alcoholic mini-hamper! We hope they enjoy it!

On the last day of an extraordinary Summer Term the School would like to express its gratitude & thanks for the exceptional work our teachers have done. Reinventing themselves as explorers of e-Learning & inspirers of the internet enabled pupils to continue learning successfully.

This morning the School held its Remembrance Service. A key school event, the service is an important occasion to remember & commemorate those who paid the ultimate sacrifice & died in the line of duty, which included a number of members of the School community. #ArmisticeDay
