- Final draft: THC edibles and beverages are legal in Minnesota starting tomorrow. A key Republican in the Republican-controlled Senate said he didn’t realize the scope of the law he signed off on, calls for it to be rolled back. Democratic leader says no.

- VP nominee JD Vance just held a press conference outside the shuttered Third Precinct in Minneapolis. He painted Minneapolis as a city in decline and said, “The story of Minneapolis is coming to every community across the [U.S.] if we promote Kamala Harris to president.”

- Breaking: The University of Minnesota will require students to be vaccinated against COVID-19 once the shots get full FDA approval, which is expected to happen in the coming weeks. U President Joan Gabel announced mandate in a message Monday. Mandate will require regent approval.
- NEW: Republican Sen. Jim Abeler, who chairs the MN Senate human services reform committee, tells me he did not realize the new MN law allowing THC edibles would do just that. He thought it would just regulate delta-8 THC products, said the Legislature should roll the new law back
- NEW: Vance Boelter's letter to the FBI was rambling and conspiratorial, sources with direct knowledge of its contents say. Boelter claimed he was trained by the U.S. military off the books and that Gov. Tim Walz asked him to kill Sen. Amy Klobuchar, others
