    I herewith submit my PhD thesis on the topic "Intertextuality, citation, and reuse in Shoma Uno's late works: The KODO collab" (supervisor - @skarayu). I've included only the most prominent and straightforward citations - there's a lot more there.

    "I hate this sport" from the OSM Alexandra Trusova vs "I love this sport" from the OSM & OBM Shoma Uno just shows you the difference between the two coaching environments. Really, heartbreaking stuff.

    David Wilson's last answer made me watch Fumio Igarashi (whom I never watched before), and his skating had been beautiful indeed! Here's the ending from his 1979-80 'Romeo & Juliet': spread eagle into Ina Bauer into split. Very elegant.

    The 8-year gap between Shoma's first (🥉in 2015) and latest (🥈 in 2023) GPF medals is now the largest among all men's participants in the history of this competition, surpassing Yuzuru Hanyu (2012/2019), Daisuke Takahashi (2005/2012), and Nobunari Oda's (2006/2013 ) 7-year gaps.

    It's almost a truism to say, 'I miss Shoma's skating.' I miss it not because of some personal feelings or affections but mostly because right now, no one can fill in the gap created by his retirement: this kind of skating is absent in the current world of men's figure skating.
