I’d just like to say, from the bottom of my heart - thank you. I’m overwhelmed by the love and support. I never wanted my story to be public. On reflection I’m glad. Because if just one person can relate..can feel assured that they are not alone.. then it has all been worth it.❤️

Today I got to meet this wonderful lady. This is Lisa, a paramedic who saved my life. When I was taken to hospital, Lisa wouldn’t let my ex husband travel in the ambulance with me. There’s more to the story but she spotted the signs of #domesticabuse and I am so grateful.❤️

My old life. Average trip to work.. 20 minutes. He knew I wouldn’t answer because I was driving. But he kept calling anyway. He had nothing to say. This is controlling behaviour. Abuse. PLEASE speak out. There are good people out there who can help. Asking for help saved me.

Before and after. If you ever thought that getting out of an abusive relationship wasn’t worth the fight. A friend put a tweet out yesterday and it really made me think. It’s not an easy journey, but being alive to make that journey is a start. #DomesticAbuse #CoerciveControl

This week I’ve been surrounded by love. But overwhelmed by how many of you can relate to my story. If you happen to catch @thismorning at 10.20am today I’ll be there. Because I want to tell you that you are not alone. Ask for help. You will never look back. ❤️

'Mum, don't come home. He's going to kill you.' ITV weather presenter @Ruth_ITV bravely opens up about her almost decade of abuse at the hands of her ex-husband, who has been sentenced to three years in prison.

I have read every text, email, tweet, letter. I might not be able to reply to all but I will never be able to thank you for the love and kindness. I’m overwhelmed by the number of people going through similar. I’m going to do all that I can to help x

A bit teary this morning. The world is a tough place for us all. My husband made me sandwiches for lunch. It’s the Xmas tree lights box, but to him it’s a “butty box”. And now I can’t stop smiling! So I wanted to share the love this Friday! It’s the little things! Xxxx ❤️🥪

Exactly this time 5 yrs ago today my children rang me as I was about to go in studio for weather to tell me not to come home as my then husband was going to kill me. #domesticabuse #coercivecontrol I fixate on strange anniversaries but I look at this as the time life began again.

Anyone who says.. it’s just a dog.. will never understand. We said goodbye to this little man today… heartbroken is not the word. We’ve loved him for 14 years… he’ll be loved forever. 🐶❤️

Exactly 1 year ago today my ex husband pleaded guilty to stalking and #coercivecontrol . I’ve spent this aft with @swpolice learning how to protect my home/family ahead of his possible imminent release. That’s our reality. Alarms 🚨 everywhere! It’s all good but it’s not over.

18 years ago today my little boy came into this world. I promised to love and protect him forever! As it turns out, he spent much of his childhood protecting me. My son, I’m so very proud of you. Happy Birthday you wonderful person! Love Mum. Xx
