This time 14 years ago while on R&R, I stopped in a service station on my way to a wedding and saw one of my photos on nearly every front page. The headline is one I will never forget, thoughts with his family.

- I'll leave you with my last picture of John, I took this just before I left the CP. I had just turned 30 and was one of the oldest in the CP, John was 18. @PohleRichard said "this photo tells more of a story about our time in Helmand than any of helicopters and guns."
- Fusilier John Bryant. an 18 year old soldier from A Company, The Royal Highland Fusiliers 2nd Battalion The Royal Highland Fusiliers. In the compound where he lived for 6 months. #herrick13 #tenyearson
- This is @flacky38, he is a London Cabby, this weekend he has helped me transporting injured veterans around London, not only did he make sure they felt safe and comfortable, he refused to take a penny of them. That’s why london cabbies are the best. Thanks mate.

- Today I will post some of my favourite portraits, I’d love to see yours. This photo of 18 yr old Pte John Bryant, was taken during rainy season in Helmand. He was the youngest soldier in theatre at the time. I think this sums up Op Herrick perfectly. #showmeyours
- Little known fact, we are the only trade in the @BritishArmy that has received an Oscar. This was for the role army videographers and photographers played in the 1943 Film Desert Victory.
- Thoughts with the Royal family at this sad time, The Duke of Edinburgh was a real character and will be truly missed.
- On the 30th September 2010 I deployed to Helmand Province on Op Herrick 13 with @16AirAssltBde, over the next few months I'm going to go through my archive and share some of mob favourite photos 10 years from the day they were taken.
