    Am I the only one who feels like people aren’t properly calibrated to how bad COVID is right now? Like, legitimately hospitals are getting overrun again. Please, please try to live like we did back in March again. Run through Tiger King again if you have to

    We named our daughter Astra because we love this state so much. Despite its issues, the people are good. The state is indeed the personification of its motto - Ad astra per aspera. To the stars with difficulty. I just woke her up and gave her the biggest goddamn hug of my life.

    In 1989, I was born in Switzerland because my parents were pursuing their PhDs there and got pregnant. Because I had an older sister and China’s One Child Policy, that meant that they couldn’t go home to their friends and family and reasonably have a career.
